EU Space Networks Code of Conduct
Purpose and Scope
This Code of Conduct sets out the standards and principles that all members of the EU Space Networks must adhere to. By accepting membership, each member agrees to comply with these standards to uphold the integrity and mission of the EU Space Networks.
1. Ethical Compliance
Members shall act in accordance with EU laws, policies, and ethical standards, ensuring that all activities are conducted with honesty, transparency, and integrity. Members shall in all their activities linked to the Networks protect the standing and reputation of the EU Space Networks or European Commission.
2. Professionalism and Participation
Members are expected to participate actively and constructively in the EU Space Networks. This includes attending relevant events (monthly videoconferences, General Assembly etc.), completing the annual survey, contributing to discussions, and responding promptly to communications.
3. Non-Promotion
Members shall not use their role within the networks for personal, commercial, or organisational self-promotion. The primary focus of membership should be on supporting the broader objectives of the EU Space Networks, rather than individual or corporate gain.
4. Termination of Membership
The European Commission reserves the right to terminate membership at any time if a member's actions are not aligned with the objectives and ethical standards of the EU Space Networks. This includes failure to comply with this Code of Conduct.
5. Amendments
The European Commission may amend the terms of this Code of Conduct from time to time. Members will be notified of any amendments, and continued participation in the EU Space Networks constitutes acceptance of the updated Code of Conduct.
